Lead Generation & CRO

Turn more of your existing visitors into calls and enquiries, with Google Ads where paid search makes sense.

More traffic is only useful if it turns into business. We look at how visitors move through your website, remove what gets in their way and test changes that lift enquiries. Where paid search can add quick, measurable leads, we plan and manage Google Ads campaigns alongside your SEO, so the two work together rather than compete.

Squeezing every last drop of performance from your website and marketing campaigns

Lead generation, conversion optimisation, customer retention, repeat purchases, customer loyalty, increased engagement.  All can be delivered with the right know how and the right approach.

What is conversion rate optimisation?

Conversion rate optimisation (CRO) is the process of getting more leads, sales, downloads, sign-ups or whatever your performance indicator is, from existing visitors to your website. CRO is done through making relatively small gains across your online platform (website, email marketing, social media channels, etc) with the aim to make substantial gains to your bottom line.

What is lead generation?

Website lead generation is a process of attracting and then converting new visitors to your website.  The process involves many aspects that are typically covered as part of your marketing mix:

  • Awareness
  • Interest
  • Consideration
  • Intent
  • Evaluation
  • Purchase

How do we go about lead generation?

As with most good SEO processes you need to start by understanding your business, market and competition, lead generation of your website is no different.  The first task is to know who your customer is and who you are trying to communicate with for your product or service. Once this is understood then you need to identify where and how you will be able to get in front of this audience.  You will then need to ensure that once you have directed them to your website it is communicating with them in the right language, the right tone and with the right information to enable them to make an informed and appropriate buying decision.

At NeSEO we have been working with many of our customers for many years and understand what it take to search out, find, and secure quality and relevant leads.

What is involved in conversion rate optimisation (CRO)?

When it comes to CRO we will, for existing websites, focus on making small amendments where we consider it necessary rather than the more costly and timely process of initiating a full website redesign. This is likely to include some of the following:

  • Improved site architecture and customer journey
  • Aesthetical updates such as button colours and names
  • Reduce required processes to achieve a conversion
  • Fixing glaring errors and usability issues
  • Simplify the user journey
  • Improve the content and communication to ensure better aligned to your visitor expectations

Remember we are looking for very small percentage changes, even the most optimised websites will do well to achieve a 5% conversion rate. The numbers soon start to stack, an increase from 2% to 3% on site turning over 500k could see sales increase to £700k, with added visibility through social channels this soon starts to snowball.

Our approach to Conversion Rate Optimisation

Using a range of tools and our industry knowledge through tried and tested methods we analyse and begin to understand what barriers to conversion exist. For example you may have unattractive landing pages, or over complex checkout process, or cluttered layouts, too much text on the page or an unclear customer journey.

What is Google PPC?

Google PPC is an abbreviation of the term Google Pay-Per-Click often also referred to as CPC or Cost-Per-Click which is a method of reporting/managing your advertising campaign with Google. Google PPC is the advertising model used to direct traffic from Google Search, or Google search partners to the advertisers website. Typically the advertiser sets a click based budget based on a desired search term(s) and pays Google each time that their advert is clicked.  The position of the advert will be determined by a few variable, the most relevant two being the competitiveness of the budget for the CPC and the quality of the landing page that is being used in the advert.

The benefits of using Google PPC are that anyone creating a paid advertising campaign to drive traffic to a particular page or product, can monitor the effectiveness of their wording, imagery and campaign overall in order to further improve their marketing efforts to generate revenue and capture contact data from those that don't convert instantly.  If you get the balance right between CPC, Ad and landing page, then Google PPC can be a fantastic way to generated profitable sales or leads for your business.
